Spanish Creek

Chris and I went on a hike and left the kids home with a sitter. We hiked the Spanish Creek tail, which is in the Spanish Peaks mountain range.
There were a ton of bison.  Lots of bison make me think of THE Never Ending Story.
There are more bison pictures later, but it was as green as Ireland and the weather was perfect.
We started this hike many moons ago when we first moved up here.  Sophie was in the backpack, she would have been 11 months.  We didn't make it too far the first time, and this time we made it back about 2 miles.

The mountains kept getting washed out and over exposed because we were in the shade and the mountains were super bright.  These pictures don't do this place justice.

This is where we turned around and headed back.  The kids could totally do this one.
Took these on the way out as we were leaving.

Images like these kinda make me wish I'd chosen Montana over Maine... :-)

So beautiful!
