Chris and my dad went hunting while he was here. It was a chilly morning...with NO LUCK...AGAIN! Can you hear the frustration in my words? Just kidding. They had a great time even though they weren't successful.
Daddy and mimi butter (baby brother, according to Soph). Sophie has been very interested in helping change diapers and holding Gunner. She is mostly interested when he is sleeping and tries to sneak in our room and pick him up. I haven't posted any more pics of Gunner because he really hasn't changed all that much in two weeks. The other night, he slept almost 7 hours and usually goes between 5 and 6 hours at night. He has been very easy so far as newborns go.
Gobble gobble...Happy Thanksgiving. Well, we decided not to post the butchering of the turkeys, but Chris and Dave had a GREAT time with their first turkey experience. We got two home grown turkeys from one of my young women. You can't tell from the pic, but these Toms were HUGE and he is sitting on the other one in the barrel. I didn't want to see any of the butchering, but we heard lots of wings flapping. Dave will smoke them and we will see how fresh turkey tastes. They were also able to save some of the feathers to make flies for fly fishing.
Sophie loves to watch conductors and orchestras. We have a baby Einstein movie, which she doesn't watch too much any more, but it is called meet the orchestra and at the very end of the movie it shows the conductor waving his wand and conducting. She loves it! The BYU channel shows Men's and Women's Chorus also and she loves the music. She gets very mad when it is over and asks for more. Today, we had the BYU channel on again and she grabbed this little step stool and started conducting. Perhaps we have a musician in our midst.
