0 for 2 at the Pumpkin Patch & a little Montana braggin'

Do you ever have one of those days when you just can't win?

So...I thought today would be a perfect day to go the the Pumpkin Patch farm. If you remember, last year I didn't know one existed until the day before Halloween, and we went only to experience no pumpkins, some busted up hay bales, and utter disappointment.

So...this year I was going to be on the ball and go early(er) than last year. I had heard it was open already so we went. I rushed Chris as soon as he got home because it is getting darker earlier and it was a 25 minute drive. Plus, it was also a BEAUTIFUL Montana day. We just got our first snow a day or so ago, the leaves are changing and it was the perfect temperature for the kids to be out enjoying some pumpkin harvesting.

So...we pulled up and...where are the pumpkins? I was picturing a huge farm with millions of orange, delightful jack O' lanterns. None. Zilch. Zip. No customers. No wagon ride. No hot cider. Whaaaa? I questioned some guy who was unloading a car, but he was a visitor and didn't know anything. Likely story. But, he said Penny would know and she would be coming out soon. So, out she came and said she didn't know too much, but we just missed the workers, and all the pumpkins must be out in the fields still. BUG. Good news though, they will be back tomorrow though. Wanted it all tonight:(

So...Sophie is crying because we didn't let her out until we figured if it was a bust or not. She was a bust, so we promised her we would drive in the mountains so she could touch the snow. And drive we did, but we didn't let her get out, which made her upset...again. So we bought her affection with a stop at Mc Donalds and ers craim (ice cream).

So...on to the bragging. This is just a little glimpse of what we like to call Zion. Ok, we have never called it that and Chris would erase this right now if he were here reading it. But you guys already know how much we love it here, so come visit and partake of it yourself!

This little guy (his spikes are teeny tiny) just hung out as we drove by.

Gunner boy had a little hot fudge sunday action too. He's gettin' a big tooth up top, and a sec tooth on the bottom. He is starting to crawl a little bit on his knees. He continues to be a very happy, sweet, content little boy.

Chris' happy face

It took 88 pictures to get one decent one.

Smiles from my guy.

The only way Sophie will pose for me is doing something silly.

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Halloween costume in the making...
